Basia Smolnicki

Living in Wellington and of Polish decent, Basia is currently Printmaking tutor at the College of Creative Arts, Massey University Wellington.

Basia completed a Visual Communication Design Diploma at the Wellington Polytechnic and a Post Graduate Degree Diploma in Printmaking at the Camberwell School of Art and Craft, London.

Basia works in paint, makes prints, and produces sandblasted designs on glass, metal and mirror for interior and exterior spaces.
Her bold graphic imagery of negative and positive shapes of colour and texture are her signature style applied to a variety of media.
